As I mentioned several times, I like a flexible approach of eating, even on a diet. I used to have typical bodybuilding meals(and approach, like eating every 2,5 - 3 hours) for the first 10 years of my fitness journey, then I saw that several very successful athletes had completely different methods of eating/training, and were
very successful, so I decided to try......just for the summer and to be fit for the beach. :).The new style was so great in terms of simplicity, well being and "anti-stress"" feeling, which is usually present on a strict diet, that I decided to do a bodybuilding competition that year.....and it was just great. I reached my best shape of all time and place 2nd in my category. I can say, that it was a reversal in my lifestyle and I started seing bodybuilding in a different way. Nowdays I use the same approach in all my clients(for the competitions or just to get in shape). Although I changed the way of seing certain things, I still eat 70-80% of my food as I used to..........chicken breasts,rice,veggies,oats,.....are still the main foodstuffs on my daily menu. I usually divide my daily food intake in 4-5 meals, without worrying about to eat every 3 hours, avoiding carbs before sleep, avoiding sugar like poison,.....
The moral of the story: be flexible....in food....in training....in LIFE !!!
Here is a photo collection of my several meals during the diet.......would you feel like being on a diet if you would be eating this kind of food every day? ;)
